Annette Marie Pearcy.
Born the 9th October 1978 the youngest of twins by five minutes I grew up in a Hertfordshire village.
From the first time I was able to pick up a pencil all I ever wanted to do was draw on anything and everything.
I'm not quite sure where I get my creative streak from most likely my grandma Bedford she would recreate postcard pictures with her oil paints and as I grew up she would watch and help me create my own master pieces, be it a Mothers Day Card, Birthday Card.

At school I would spend hours on illustrations to accompany homework that when I left the most obvious path for me was to pursue my art.
Years later graduating with a degree in illustration from Westminster University.
So with my portfolio tucked under my arm and with one big breath I walked the streets visiting anyone that would agree to see me and got as much advice as I could which helped me develop my own distinctive style.
I think of my work as a social commentary or a slice of life they begin as rough sketches that have sprung from various inspirations. Once the initial sketch is complete I begin to build the image from scratch with various photograph and magazine cuttings bringing them together like a jigsaw puzzle to produce a new image that can take on its own life and personality.
The final artwork is scanned into the computer and using Photoshop its cleaned and manipulated then the completed image is dropped on to a photographic background to create the space in which the characters begin to exist. Clients have included EHS Brann, IPC Media, Readers Digest, and Macmillan Education.
